Sustainability at the Core of Our Business
Sustainability is at the heart of our business at Dansko. Through our business model of working with suppliers looking to add-value to products we are maximising the lifetime and giving a second life to dairy products.
Our business predominantly revolves around Irish dairy which are grass-fed.
80% of Ireland’s agricultural area is devoted to grassland, with a yearly grass growth rate that exceeds the European average by more than a third.
We are proud to be verified members of Ireland’s Origin Green Programme, the first ever national food and drink sustainability programme collaborating with over 61,000 farmers in Ireland and over 300 Irish food & drink companies.
As part of this programme, we have embedded sustainability into our business through developing independently verified sustainability plans since 2021. Within this sustainability plan, we have developed goals across key environmental and social topics.
